I have created grid emitter, set the particle type to model, set the model type to primitive cube. Now when I change particle values (for example: Size Random) the changes are accepted and reflected in the viewport as I scrub the value up or down. However if I animate the value to change over time the change does not happen. It simply holds the value of the first keyframe. Is this normal?

Hi, there are basic particle properties and over life properties, the basic will affect the birth properties  , such as color opacity etc’ and you have the over life graphs to control the particles size over life etc’
